I was born and raised on a grain farm in Oakdale, IL where my wife and I still reside. Our little farm house feels as homie as you can get with our 4 boys: Noah, Easton, Eli, and Eli aka Mr. Patton (Blended families are entertaining, but can be complicated when the two crazy(ier) boys have the same name.)
After a couple Ag classes in Nashville Community High School, I began to further my education in Ag with an Associates in Ag Business focusing in Plant and Soil Science, while minoring in Diesel Engines; I received a Bachelors' Degree in Plant and Soil Science, minoring in Ag Systems and Technology from SIUC - Southern IL University of Carbondale ; While continuing on to achieve a Master's Degree from the University of Kentucky majoring in Crop Science studying waterhemp (Amaranthus tuberculatus) in soybeans.
After 4 years working within research and sales in the Ag Industry, Zach Brandt and I started Progressive Farm Solutions, Inc. in 2015.
Progressive Farm Solutions, Inc. gives me the opportunity to apply my past education, Knowledge, and love into one of my most passionate subjects: Agriculture while working with and assisting farmers in Southern IL. This business, career, and way of life is something I am very proud of to pass down to my boys...
